I wrote earlier about AI organizations and networking events, which can range from introductory sessions for the general public to more grassroots industry exchanges. A friend asked if there are top-down, industry-tailored large-scale events. Of course, there are.
The tech industry has long hosted many large-scale industry exchanges, with numerous events focusing on different technologies. In recent years, AI and generative AI applications have increasingly become a key focus. Below are some of the more prominent events:
STACKx Smart City 2024, organized by Singapore’s Government Technology Agency (GovTech), is a technology summit that this March focused on smart city solutions, exploring innovative applications in AI, IoT, and data analytics. STACKx Smart City aims to drive the digital transformation and intelligent management of cities, fostering technological collaboration between governments and businesses. It is an essential platform for Singapore's smart city development.
Another event is Echelon X, one of the major tech startup summits in the Asia-Pacific region, organized by e27. This May, Echelon X brought together startups, investors, and tech leaders to explore the latest developments and innovations in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The summit included keynote speeches, startup showcases, and networking opportunities, providing valuable business prospects and promoting technological collaboration. It is a significant event for the Asia-Pacific startup community. Earlier this year, TOKEN2049 was a leading global conference for the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry, attracting blockchain experts, investors, developers, and entrepreneurs worldwide to discuss blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), Web3, and cryptocurrency trends. Another key event in May was Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG), the flagship tech event in Asia, attracting over 15,000 attendees, 320 speakers, and more than 250 exhibitors. The event features ATxSummit, covering cutting-edge topics like AI, quantum computing, and sustainability, and ATxEnterprise, focusing on satellite communication and AI-driven business sectors, with many AI applications included.

Tech Week Singapore 2024
